Client Relationship Manager and Conciergerie Services Manager

Agathe Béranger is responsible for customer relations at Blue Bridge. She is also the Director of Concierge Services and a travel agent.

Meet Agathe.

Tell me about yourself. I’m French, and I have been living in Quebec for the past five years. I grew up in the South of France and, after my classical education, I joined a business law firm in Paris specializing in international tax. Loyal by nature, I spent more than twenty years at the firm before moving to Quebec and embark on a new adventure at Blue Bridge .

Why Canada? It was a question of opportunity… I have always been very curious about “la Belle Province” on the other side of the Atlantic. As a child, I sang Vigneault and Charlebois. When they suggested I cross the ocean, I didn’t hesitate. For me, it became quite an obvious choice and also a new challenge.

Why did you choose to manage the concierge services and the travel agency? As a Family Office, Blue Bridge wants to meet all the specific needs of our clients. I came to know them well, i.e.: I know who they are, and they trust me. After three years working with the Trust Team, I chose to take charge of Concierge services and work more closely with clients. Making their dreams a reality, helping them plan their trips, supporting their children studying in Canada, finding the perfect gift…those are a few examples of what my day-to-day looks like. Being a travel agency goes with the “package.”

Since your arrival, what cultural differences have you been confronted with? “Political correctness,” the aversion to verbal confrontation… But I’ve learned a lot.

In your opinion, what qualities are required to succeed in your position? Patience, empathy, precision, a sense of psychology, and many others that I’m still trying to develop…

Tell me about a project or a challenge that you had to undertake or take on. There are a lot of them. Complex trips, surprise birthdays certain projects can take up to a year of preparation. Sometimes the goal is to simply assist a distraught mom travelling far from home in finding a baby carrier…
