The Blue Bridge Foundation for Children continues its work with the Fonds 1804 pour la persévérance scolaire and L’école de voile de Lachine
On Sunday, June 3, 2018, we had the privilege of attending the Fonds 1804 pour la persévérance scolaire. Nearly 145 young people were honored at the gala held at the Plaza Center-Ville under the honorary presidency of the Minister of Education, Mr. Sébastien Proulx.
We are pleased to applaud our five new Fellows for the year 2018-2019, which we will introduce in the Fall. We also encouraged our five Fellows of the past year to continue their journey towards academic success.
In five years, this collective movement has recognized the involvement and educational success of more than 700 fellows from 13 school boards, more than 130 schools and training centers.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Blue Bridge Foundation for Children financed a week of sailing camp for 16 children in partnership with the Lachine Sailing School (ÉVL).
Selected by the ÉVL and the CLSC de Dorval-Lachine, children 12 and under
had the opportunity to be initiated to the world of sailing and live a great experience.
Supervised by qualified and enthusiastic instructors, they received theoretical and practical instruction and acquired the basics of sailing.
At the end of the week, they received a certificate of competency that they brought home with great pride.
With the heat that beat down on Montréal last week, what better than to be out on the water and enjoy the river’s cool breezes?
